Gene2Promoter
provides access to promoter sequences of
all genes annotated in the available genomes.
For each locus the chromosomal location and a short description of the corresponding
gene is provided together with the promoters and transcripts. Several tasks for comparative
analysis of the selected promoters can be started directly from the Gene2Promoter
output. The number of input genes/sequences is limited to 1,000.
Alternatively Gene2Promoter offers large scale extraction of promoter sequences from the Genomatix Promoter Database GPD. Large scale extraction doesn't offer the interactive analysis from the result as described above, but allows you to retrieve
- complete sets of promoters for all genes of any of the available genomes
- custom sets of individual promoters by uploading a list of gene identifiers (up to 100,000)
- Optionally:
- Annotation for transcription factor binding
sites (by MatInspector)
- Annotation for promoter modules (based on Genomatix
proprietary libraries)
Gene2Promoter Features
"small scale" option
- Listing of all alternative transcripts and their promoters for a locus
- Easy checkbox selection of identified, ranked promoters from a list of matches
- Immediate interactive graphical analysis for common
transcription factor binding sites.
- Full ElDorado analysis at one click for each promoter and its gene.
- Direct submission of selected promoters to tasks like FrameWorker (analysis for common appearance
of TF binding sites).
large scale option
- Promoter sequences in FASTA or GenBank format
- Excel readable file with promoter/gene information
- Optional:
Excel readable file with transcription factor binding
sites and their position
- Optional:
Excel readable file with promoter modules and their
position
- Large files will be compressed for faster download
