Site overview

You can use the search feature of MatBase to search for specific sites by entering a short DNA sequence (IUPAC ambiguity searching is not yet possible.) This will give you a result similar to the one below. (The screenshot has been shortened to only show the first ten results.) You will see the name of the site together with the DNA sequence in the first column and the matrix that is associated with the site (i.e. the site has been considered for the construction of the matrix) in the second column.

Clicking on the site name will take you to the 'site result' as shown below. Clicking on the matrix name will take you to the 'matrix result'.

Site result

This is the result for a single site. You get the name, the DNA sequence, the associated matrix together with either the matrix similarity score for the site or the comment 'not used' if the site has been considered for constructing the matrix, but has been rejected. In the reference(s) column you can find the publication where the site data was taken from.

Clicking on the matrix name will take you to the 'matrix result'. Clicking on the reference id will take you to the 'reference result'.
